What’s New


  • Upgrade to Flex SDK 1.2.
  • Flex integration now functions like a plugin. The engine still contains Flex specific changes, but fewer.
  • Added support for Soft Joints.
  • Fluid surface rendering restructuring, FlexFluidSurface asset is now set per container instead of per emitter.

Known Limitations

  • The Flex UE4 integration does not currently expose all of the features in the Flex SDK, such as smoke simulation, or plastic deformation of rigid bodies. These features might be added in a future release.
  • Flex is not deterministic. Simulations with the same initial conditions may behave differently between separate runs, GPUs, and versions.
